And I still Google Linux commands.
Sometimes I forget an option. Sometimes I remember exactly what I want to do but can't remember the syntax. Sometimes I know the command, but I haven't used it in six months and I'd rather check than pretend I remember.
I even go back to my own books from time to time to look something up.
And I don't think there's anything unusual about that.
There are thousands of commands, options, configuration files, and little pieces of syntax you might come across when working with Linux. Some you'll use so often that they'll stick in your head without you even trying. Others you might use once every few months, or once a year.
Of course you're going to forget some of them.
What tends to stick is knowing your way around the system. You remember that there's a tool for what you're trying to do. You have an idea of how it works. Maybe you even remember most of the command.
You just need to look up that one option again.
So you Google it.
Or open the man page.
Or run --help.
Or, these days, ask an AI.
Sometimes, apparently, you open a book.
That's just part of using Linux.
